The debut Diabetes Professional Care 2015 show will witness a series of new technologies, innovative products and ground-breaking solutions, launched across the entire diabetes care, management and prevention spectrum.
The event is designed by healthcare professionals for healthcare professionals, providing visitors with all the latest information to empower patients to manage their own care pathways. It has attracted exhibitors from right across the diabetes supply chain including Abbott Diabetes, MedicAlert, iHealth, Docobo, Flexitol, V-Connect and Gendius.
Neubourg Pharma will be presenting its Allpresan Diabetic Foam Cream. It is the only clinically formulated foam cream to prevent dry cracked skin and calluses on diabetes sufferers’ feet. Allpresan boosts the skin’s barrier function, protecting against skin infections and ulceration. It is quick to apply, non greasy and footwear can be put on immediately after application. It can be used on the entire foot, including between the toes, unlike conventional creams and lasts up to twice as long.
iHealth, a world leader in connected health products, will be showcasing its ecosystem of products from blood pressure monitors, body analysis scales and pulse oximeters, through to activity and sleep monitors. On the show, at Diabetes Professional Care 2015, will be the iHealth glucose meters, iHealth Gluco and iHealth Align, which allow diabetic patients to connect with their doctors through the application iHealth Smart-Gluco. The patient can analyse and follow their results, adapt their daily behaviour and simultaneously share them with their doctors or families. In addition iHealth will be presenting its new partnership with EMIS, having the 1st Connected Blood Glucose Meter to seamlessly upload its measurements directly to the EMIS Heath Personal Heath Record (PHR).
Clinical Professionals, an organisation dedicated to clinical drug research, will be using the show to highlight its innovative Graduate Training Academy in Life Sciences. It will discuss how highly skilled graduates can bring a cost-effective solution to the escalating costs of research, bringing individuals newly diagnosed with diabetes the comfort of knowing that continued research is affordable.
Yvette Cleland, CEO at Clinical Professionals, explains the reason why they were so quick to support Diabetes Professional Care 2015: “We are excited to exhibit at Diabetes Professional Care 2015 and promote our innovative Graduate Training Academy in Life Sciences. As Life Sciences staffing specialists we see candidates diminishing, no new blood coming through and the cost of clinical drug development escalating. We should be training our graduates and developing apprenticeship schemes to meet the demand our industry has; There is no point in such heavy government investment in new jobs without the skilled staff to fill them.”
Also at the show will be JDRF, the renowned type 1 diabetes charity, which focuses on improving the lives of sufferers. It will be discussing their latest work and also talking about the free resources and events it provides for children, adults and parents living with the condition, at all stages from diagnosis and beyond.
More than just an exhibition, Diabetes Professional Care 2015 boasts a free-to-attend fully CPD accredited multi-streamed conference, covering the full diabetes spectrum exploring the very latest thinking, technologies and trends in the marketplace. Providing the perfect platform to showcase up-to-the-minute product and service innovations, and an opportunity for industry peers to network, do business and update their knowledge. The big names speaking include Dr David Haslam, GP & Chair of the National Obesity Forum, Dr Partha Kar, Consultant of Diabeteology and Endocrinology at Portsmouth NHS Trust, Laura Cleverley, Creator of Ninjabetics, Professor Chris Ham, CEO of King’s Fund, Tim Kelsey, National Director for Patients & Information at NHS England and Dr Jim O’Brien, National Programme Director of Public Health England.

Plus The Diabetes Village will also be available, providing a networking and meeting place for healthcare professionals to speak with likeminded individuals in the diabetes field.
